This is Grace. Brave. Beautiful. Big (now anyways!). When she was brought into rescue at GPMR (Great Plains Mastiff Rescue) she was only 62 pounds. She was the worst starvation case they’d ever seen. That was in June.  She was rescued off the side of a highway, brought to rescue, put in the ICU, nursed back to health, and put into a foster home. I was supposed to photograph her back in October but she found her forever home. She was adopted by a wonderful family that continued to nurture her. I was disappointed I missed out on photographing her because I so wanted to meet her after hearing her story.  She was such a success story that they asked if I would photograph her anyways so they could have before and after pictures to send out to all the wonderful people that donated for her care.  So… here she is… over twice her weight in June… at 125.6 lbs!!! She was so kind and gentle when I met her. She was actually really hard to shoot because she just kept wanting to crawl up into my lap!  She also had the softest fur I’d ever felt on a Mastiff… just like silk! She is one lucky girl to have found such a loving home.  Actually they are the lucky ones!
