I’m so excited to share with you this latest Pinterest project that we just completed. I don’t know about you all, but I have 4 dogs who LOVE sleeping in their crates. Unfortunately with four dogs, I have all sizes of crates around my house which take up quite a bit of floor space. As I was browsing Pinterest, I found THIS really cool idea!  This was such a perfect solution for me because three of my four dogs sleep in my bedroom with me in their crates. (Miss Olive must sleep in our living room because she’s a very loud snorer!).

Dog Crate Table

To create this project, I first bought this double door 36″ crate from Amazon.com. Then my husband built me this custom fit table that sits right over it and painted it white gloss. Then (because I don’t sew), I asked my dear friend Laurie to sew me the simple pleated skirt (that splits in the middle for easy in/out access) that is attached with Velco to the inside of the table’s apron. I purchased indoor/outdoor fabric for durability and so that it’s easy to clean.

That’s it! I hope you’ve been inspired like I was!

  3. Hi Jenny. This is fabulous! Is there a possibility that you could post the dimensions of the pieces he used to build the table? That would be sooo helpful.

  4. Hi Jenny. I LOVE THIS!!! I would love to make one of these for my goldendoodle…. what material did your husband use for the top? Thanks so much. I hope I can get mine to look this nice!!

  5. Could you post more info on the materials/dimensions your husband used? I’m planning on taking on the same project with my dad! Thanks!

  6. Hi Jenny,

I know this post is older and I am a bit late to the party but I REALLY LOVE THE SIDE TABLE YOU HUSBAND BUILT.

Did he every make plans? Would he be willing to share? I live in Houston Tx, and just rescued an 11 mth old street dog who isnt 100% potty trained, combine that with a master bedroom remodel that calls for a larger than standard side table… this fits both needs beautifully.

    Pretty please!
