Many people have asked me how on earth I got those 4 puppies so perfectly posed for the cover of Bark Magazine. Well, let me tell you… it wasn’t easy! lol You definitely need a LOT of patience when photographing puppies… or any dog for that matter!

This is only about 1/3 of the actual shots I took to finally end up with the “perfect” one. Thank you to my dear husband for helping me!  I’m not a magician and I didn’t do any head swaps… just simple patience (Oh and lots of treats and squeakers!).

I’m fostering these 4 kittens for the Flower Mound Humane Society. They are about 8 weeks old and are available for pre-adoption.

Adoption fees are $100 for cats.  This adoption fee helps to cover the costs of basic preventative care including spay or neuter, vaccines (including Rabies and virals), heartworm tests, FeLV/FIV tests, in addition to extra medical care the animal may need. For more information on adopting one of these cute kittens or any other animal, please visit http://www.fmhs.org.

DFW Pug Rescue’s Project Pugway Fashion show was a huge hit. NBC5 and Fox5 even came out and did a little filming for their evening broadcast that night. My boys were ended up being on NBC5’s broadcast for a couple seconds.. it was pretty fun to see them strutting our pugs across the runway. I wanted to share the “formal” picture I took of my pugs in their attire. They competed in the “Winter Fashion” category. Even though they did not place, I think they looked adorable. Also, if you’re interested where I got Olive’s fabulous dress and Felix’s stunning tie, check out Lil Yorkie Fru Fru on Etsy!

I’m participating in a Project 52 for Beautiful Beasties. This week’s assignment is called “Second Chance”. Second chance means that you can go back to the previous 26 weeks arnd redo one of of the assignments or do one that you missed. Since this is my first week doing this project with this group, I’m going back to Week 23: 50mm. This shot was take with my 50mm 1.4 lens.

This boy, Rambo is being also given a “second chance” at life.  He is a Mastiff and in rescue right now with Great Plains Mastiff Rescue and looking for a foster home. He is currently being boarded until he can find a foster home or a forever home. Forgive all the drool! LOL … we wore him out and went to take pictures of some more mastiffs on the other side of the fence… he wanted us to come back to him 🙁 He’s a sweet boy with a lot of love to give!

Olive’s in love with the new issue of Bark Magazine… or maybe she just misses her two foster sisters! LOL
I’ve been waiting on pins and needles for my issue to hit my mailbox and it finally did yesterday. What a wonderful site to see my work on the cover and the two puppies I fostered for 7 weeks… puppies that still hold a very big piece of my heart.
