Did you miss out on entering? The Humane Society of Flower Mound is currently running a Calendar Contest… head on over and enter for a chance to win a photo session with me and the cover of the calendar!

I had so much fun at this session. I just love photographing horses and the people who love them. This is Courtney and her amazing horse, Zeus. Just one year ago Zeus had colic. Equine colic is the number one cause of death in horses. Zeus had lost over 800 pounds and given just a 10% chance of survival.  BUT… he survived and is just as happy and beautiful as ever. And you can tell he clearly loves Courtney!

I’m so excited to share with you this latest Pinterest project that we just completed. I don’t know about you all, but I have 4 dogs who LOVE sleeping in their crates. Unfortunately with four dogs, I have all sizes of crates around my house which take up quite a bit of floor space. As I was browsing Pinterest, I found THIS really cool idea!  This was such a perfect solution for me because three of my four dogs sleep in my bedroom with me in their crates. (Miss Olive must sleep in our living room because she’s a very loud snorer!).

Dog Crate Table

To create this project, I first bought this double door 36″ crate from Then my husband built me this custom fit table that sits right over it and painted it white gloss. Then (because I don’t sew), I asked my dear friend Laurie to sew me the simple pleated skirt (that splits in the middle for easy in/out access) that is attached with Velco to the inside of the table’s apron. I purchased indoor/outdoor fabric for durability and so that it’s easy to clean.

That’s it! I hope you’ve been inspired like I was!

Want to purchase something already made? Check out these options..

  • Kristy-Ann Walton - Hi Jenny,

I know this post is older and I am a bit late to the party but I REALLY LOVE THE SIDE TABLE YOU HUSBAND BUILT.

Did he every make plans? Would he be willing to share? I live in Houston Tx, and just rescued an 11 mth old street dog who isnt 100% potty trained, combine that with a master bedroom remodel that calls for a larger than standard side table… this fits both needs beautifully.

    Pretty please!
