Bert and Ernie (aren’t those the cutest names ever?!) are 4 year old Cocker Spaniels.  Their mom and dad purchased a 24″ x 24″ Canvas for the new North Richland Hills Animal Adoption and Rescue Center (NRHAARC) to help raise money for their new building.  Below are some of the adorable images from their session.

You too can honor your pet by having their photo displayed on the walls of the new shelter. For a $500 donation to NRHAARC,  I will take a professional photo of your pet and it will be printed onto a large 24″ x 24″ canvas and hung in their pet gallery. There are only 34 spaces available.
For a $1,000 contribution a professional photo of your pet will be printed onto a giant 36″ by 48″ canvas and displayed in the shelter lobby. There are only 7 spaces available at this size.  For more details, please visit the NRHAARC donation page for other ways to be a part of the new shelter!

Local Photographer Named Diamond Medalist at International Photographic Competition

Jenny Froh of Jenny Froh Photography is honored by peers and jurors for high-quality photography.

Dallas/Forth Worth, TX – Jenny Froh of Jenny Froh Photography in Flower Mound, TX was named a Diamond Medalist during Professional Photographers of America’s 2014 International Photographic Competition. Froh’s work will be on display at the Gaylord Opryland in Nashville, Tennessee, Feb. 1-3, 2015. This International Photographic Exhibition is held in conjunction with Imaging USA, an annual convention and expo for professional photographers and several photographic associations.

A panel of 45 eminent jurors from across the United States selected the top photographs from nearly 5,000 total submitted entries at Gwinnett Technical College in Georgia. Judged against a standard of excellence, just over 1,800 images were selected for the General Collection and 918 (roughly 18 percent) were selected for the esteemed Loan Collection—the best of the best. The Loan Collection images will all be published in the much-anticipated “Loan Collection” book and over 200 selected General Collection images will be published in the “Showcase” book by Marathon Press.

The level of the award is determined by how many of those four images receive the highest possible honor: acceptance into the PPA Loan Collection, which is displayed at photographic exhibitions, conventions and other photography events. Froh was named a Diamond Medalist, meaning that all four of her merited images entered the PPA Loan Collection. In 2014, she was one of only 26 Diamond photographers of the Year.

Last week was a very exciting week for me. I entered Professional Photographers of America‘s 2014 International Print Competition. This year we got to watch the judging via a live stream so it was extra exciting, suspenseful and nerve-wracking! I’m thrilled to say that all 4 of my images were received into their Loan Collection.  This means they will be published in PPA’s Loan Collection book and also will be on exhibit at Imaging USA in Nashville, TN in February. Since all 4 images went Loan, I will also receive the prestigious “Diamond Photographer of the Year” award at the Grand Imaging Awards ceremony in Nashville. This is my second year entering IPC and have learned a great deal. I’m looking forward to Southwest Districts in January 2015!

I have many people to thank (and have thanked them personally), but achievements like this always come with the help of mentors and friends… without them I would never have done so well so soon. I’m very blessed to have such wonderful people in my life!
