Noelle & Orion’s dad contacted me a few weeks ago because Noelle is 17 years old and in declining health. She is the gray tabby with the stunning green eyes. I mean seriously… aren’t they gorgeous?!!  While I was there, I also photographed her 10 year old brother, Orion, who had equally gorgeous yellow eyes.

  • Doug Uloth - Jenny was patient and took the time to capture wonderful photographs of Noelle and Orion. Sadly, Noelle is no longer with us, but we are grateful for Jenny’s help in preserving our memories of our loved companion.

I was so excited when I heard I was going to photograph a Tervuren (a Belgian Shepherd Dog). Why, you ask? Because this is the first time I’ve seen one in real life (or even heard of one if you want to know the truth!). This beauty is 10 years old and was just as sweet and gentle as she could be. Her momma had her so well trained that she was just about the easiest dog I’d ever photographed!

My good friend, fellow pet photographer, and fellow HeARTs Speak member, Kelly Schulze, who also happens to be President of VPPA (Vermont Professional Photographers) encouraged me to enter her state print competition to see how my images would score prior to entering them into PPA’s International Print Competition opening at the end of this month.

To my surprise, I won the “Out Of State Court of Honor” for my image “Hey Diddle Diddle” and received this gorgeous plaque!  THANK YOU!

Last week I photographed some of the graduates of Hollywood Dog™ for their portfolios. Hollywood Dog™ is offered at DFW Dog Quest Training center in Lewisville, TX taught by Traci Murdock, CPDT-KA of Training Spot. Traci is a Master Trainer, Canine Behavior Specialist, and Certified Professional Dog Trainer.

If you think your pup has what it takes to be a star, check out this fun class!

Below are the graduates along with some others that participated in the photo shoot.

Next graduation photos will be on May 14, 2015 at 6pm. Hope to see you there!

I received my Professional Photographer Magazine today and am on top of the moon to be featured again this month. This time for receiving the 2014 Diamond Photographer of the Year award. I really don’t feel deserving of this honor… it’s just too good to be true! The image they chose for the magazine is of a little guy I photographed for the Humane Society of Flower Mound titled “How You Measure Cute”.
