Spring is only a month away and it can’t come soon enough for me. I’m tired of the dead, dreary trees, grass and bushes. I’m really excited to see flowers bloom and to get outside and start shooting in the pretty Spring colors!
Toby is a 2 year old, 78 lb, Great Pyrenees mix. While he has the beautiful white coat of a Pyr, he is more slender & lanky than a Pyr. We don’t know what he is mixed with, but we do know that he is a sweet, loving, sometimes goofy boy! He has no aggressive behavior, but he is very loyal, and that sometimes causes him to be overly protective of his foster mom. Toby had a medical problem with his knee, but HSFM paid for his surgery, and his foster mom has nursed him back to almost a full recovery. He now plays & romps with the other dogs in his foster home, and he would do best in a home with another dog. He will be a very good walking companion, but not a jogging companion. He walks well on a leash, and rides well in the car. He is a couch potato much of the time, and likes hanging out on his fluffy dog bed. Toby feels secure when he is near his people, and will not do well in a home where his people are gone for long hours. Toby is a loving, sweet, big boy who would benefit from additional obedience training. His adopters will need to be patient with him, and provide positive reinforcement. In return, Toby will be a lifelong, loyal & loving companion. Please visit www.hsfm.org for more information or to fill out an application.
Miss Sassy is my new foster dog and available for adoption through Southwest English Setter Rescue. Sassy is an English Setter mix. She’s good with kids, cats & dogs… actually would do best with other dogs. She is also housebroken and crate trained. She is 5 years old and about 45 lbs. She needs a home that will be patient with some of her fears so she can learn to know trust and love for the rest of her life. I promise you… she is worth it! ♥
When she came to my home, it took her about 4 or 5 days to acclimate to her new surroundings but she’s really thriving now… playing with my dogs, asking to be pet, and really wanting to be a part of the family. She is such a sweet and gentle girl.
Sassy went in for heartworm treatment yesterday 1/31/13). She will then will be on “bed rest” for 30 days.
If you are interested in an English Setter, but Sassy is not the right fit?… please visit Southwest English Setter Rescue for more that need homes.
My heart melted as they walked through my door. Bella and Lola have both had session with me individually, but this is the first time I got to photograph these lovely ladies together. They have both grown so much in the last year! I adore black pugs and it’s so much fun to accessorize these girls! Check out those darling expressions!
If you are considering a Pug as a pet, please visit DFW Pug Rescue or your local pug rescue. Both Lola and Bella are rescue pugs.
