Tobias (nickname Toby) is a 3 year old, 10 lb. Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher mix. He is so handsome with his white stocking feet & white chest! Toby’s foster mom says that he is great, and a very sweet little guy! He gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home, but can’t resist chasing the cats. He doesn’t live with kids, but we think he would be fine with kids over 6 years of age. Toby is a smart boy, and responds very quickly to corrections. He sleeps well in his crate, but also loves to cuddle in bed with his fosters, and burrow under the covers. He loves to be near his foster mom, and will sit at her feet or cuddle in her chair when she’s watching TV. He is house trained. Toby is easy to care for and very lovable.

Tobias is available at the Humane Society of Flower Mound in Flower Mound, TX.

As you may know, in my “spare” time I am a foster for the Humane Society of Flower Mound. Fostering animals is one of the most rewarding things I have ever done…I get to play with new cats and dogs all the time and also have the satisfaction of knowing that I helped save their lives. It’s the best feeling in the world to see an animal in its new, loving home and know that I played a part in sending it there.

Many of the cats and dogs I foster come to us sick or injured. The veterinary care for those animals can cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars, very little of which is recovered in the adoption fee. This year at Fido Fest, I’ll be walking to help pay for the care of Trooper, a dog that I fostered this year. Trooper was came in off the streets of Dallas and is a Distemper survivor. He came to me with an upper respiratory infection, worms, and a permanent twitch (due to the Distemper). He is now healthy and in a loving, forever home thanks to the Humane Society of Flower Mound. Trooper’s care cost HSFM $550 and his adoption fee was $175.

I know not everyone has the time, space, and energy to be a foster home for animals in need…but you can help me help more animals like Trooper by sponsoring me at Fido Fest! Thank you for whatever amount you can give…Trooper and I appreciate it!

Many people have asked me how on earth I got those 4 puppies so perfectly posed for the cover of Bark Magazine. Well, let me tell you… it wasn’t easy! lol You definitely need a LOT of patience when photographing puppies… or any dog for that matter!

This is only about 1/3 of the actual shots I took to finally end up with the “perfect” one. Thank you to my dear husband for helping me!  I’m not a magician and I didn’t do any head swaps… just simple patience (Oh and lots of treats and squeakers!).

These are a couple of sweeties I met while photographing Emma, the Great Dane about a week ago. They are neighbors and wandered into the yard during our photoshoot. They were a little hesitant of getting too close, but thanks to my 200mm focal length I was still able to get some great shots of them. Calvin is a Shih Tzu and Lucy is a Redbone Coonhound.
