Master of Photography Degree

Flower Mound, TX Photographer Earns Master of Photography

Jenny Froh of Jenny Froh Photography recognized for superior image making and photographic service with a degree from Professional Photographers of America.

Flower Mound, January 12, 2015

Jenny Froh of Jenny Froh Photography in Flower Mound has earned the master of photography degree from Professional Photographers of America (PPA). The degree was presented to Jenny Froh by PPA president Michael Timmons, M.Photog.M.Artist.Cr., CPP, F-ASP at the association’s annual convention, Imaging USA, held January 10-12, 2016 in Atlanta, Georgia.

The master of photography degree is not merely a piece of paper. It means that Jenny Froh has met the standards of excellence set by PPA. She has been awarded this degree in recognition of her superior photographic competence demonstrated through photographic competition, advanced education and service to the profession.

Froh’s degrees—and all the expertise they require—illustrate her accomplishments and talent as one of a select few.

The results are in from the International Photographic Competition, which took place earlier this month. 2 of my 4 images merited. While I didn’t do as well as last year, these last 2 images earned me enough merits to be eligible to receive a M.Photog (Master of Photography) degree in January 2016 through PPA, so I’m extremely happy about that!

So excited to finally share the article written by Robert Kiener that Professional Photographer Magazine published about my work.

Many of the animals featured in this article were adoptables with the Humane Society Of Flower Mound. And a couple of shoutouts to DFW DogQuest in Lewisville and HeARTs Speak!

My good friend, fellow pet photographer, and fellow HeARTs Speak member, Kelly Schulze, who also happens to be President of VPPA (Vermont Professional Photographers) encouraged me to enter her state print competition to see how my images would score prior to entering them into PPA’s International Print Competition opening at the end of this month.

To my surprise, I won the “Out Of State Court of Honor” for my image “Hey Diddle Diddle” and received this gorgeous plaque!  THANK YOU!

Hey Diddle Diddle

Last week was a very exciting week for me. I entered Professional Photographers of America‘s 2014 International Print Competition. This year we got to watch the judging via a live stream so it was extra exciting, suspenseful and nerve-wracking! I’m thrilled to say that all 4 of my images were received into their Loan Collection.  This means they will be published in PPA’s Loan Collection book and also will be on exhibit at Imaging USA in Nashville, TN in February. Since all 4 images went Loan, I will also receive the prestigious “Diamond Photographer of the Year” award at the Grand Imaging Awards ceremony in Nashville. This is my second year entering IPC and have learned a great deal. I’m looking forward to Southwest Districts in January 2015!

I have many people to thank (and have thanked them personally), but achievements like this always come with the help of mentors and friends… without them I would never have done so well so soon. I’m very blessed to have such wonderful people in my life!

Professional Photographers of America International Print Competition

This was my first year entering PPA’s International Print Competition (along with approximately 5,000 other entries) and I’m so honored to announce that one of my images was accepted into their General Collection and two of my images were accepted into their Loan Collection.

Images in the Loan Collection are published in the annual Loan Collection book and exhibited at Imaging USA. Loan images are considered the “Best of the Best” in the photography industry.
